I voted for Anthology in the 944 May Issue and just wanted to let you know! I love you guys, you are fabulous. I cannot afford to come to your location all the time especially now that I’ve been hit by the economic downturn but I did have a friend visit from Germany two months ago and I decided to take him and another friend to your gorgeous setup and he had nothing but wonderful things to say: the food was delicious, the ambience was great, the music was dynamic and the overall vibe was just perfect to impress! Keep up the good work~I don’t know when I can be back but I would really like to visit again soon. Take care, C.

The Dave Mason concert was awesome! Those guys can still ROCK! The venue was fabulous with great acoustics. Even though we were sitting on the upper level, the video monitors brought the concert right to us. We got there early enough to grab two comfy chairs…we did rearrange the furniture a little so we could sit next to each other instead of having a table between us.

We enjoyed reminiscing while Dave played the timeless oldies. The crowd really got into the performance, dancing in the aisle. I am still singing “We Just Disagree”!! Thanks so much! - Donna and Dan

Thank you for existing!!

I come from Chicago, which, I understand that, you come from as well. Chicago has such a rich history of live music. I have missed it so much until you came on the scene. Thank you for creating such an intimate, sophisicated venue for wonderful music. Every evening that I go there I simply love it.

We lived in Portland for 7 years and Curtis Salgado is a mini god there. He was soooo good the other night. And John Mayall in the same night. Each harmonica player was amazing, but, of course, for us Curtis reigned.

I have some incredible memories in my life, like seeing Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison in the 5th row center, and lots of other great events and experiences, But, I got to sing Amazing Grace with Judy Collins on Friday night. I will remember that until the day I die. She was incredible. She has the voice of an angel. She’s still got “IT.”

Valentine’s night at anthology was fabulous!!!! The crown jewel was a man who proposed, successfully, to his fiancée and the band announced it as well asked that the floor be cleared for a solo dance by the engaged couple to a special song played just for them…..very cool…….mainly, I am writing because I wanted to compliment Jeremy….i have never had better service at anthology or anywhere else…take care

I write thank you for giving San Diego such a wonderful venue and outstanding music. I only recently discovered Anthology but have already enjoyed 3 performances, Al Stewart and then McCoy Tyner twice, on back to back nights.What a gift to see McCoy live! I have fantasized about what it would have been like to see the Coltrane quartet live and you probably got us as close as we will now ever get just last month in our home town. Bravo! - David

I had to send an e-mail to let you know about our second anniversary celebration. Everything was great! We were seated in a very comfortable first floor booth. The music was outstanding. Our server was Jeremy. He was friendly and efficient. His drink and food recommendations were perfect. The kitchen’s timing was right on. The seared tuna entree was incredible, as well as the chili flake shrimp scampi. Our coffee and dessert were an excellent finish to a complete night out.

It was obvious that the place was busy, but we were very easily taken care of by your attentive staff. Without a doubt, this was the best overall dining experience we have had in a long time.

I knew Anthology was the real deal.

Will we be coming back? Absolutely.
